Inspired by the brand’s legacy-leaving archive, these retro-hued white, scarlet and collegiate-navy Matchbreak Super Shoes from adidas are coined as one of the brand’s ‘highest-quality vulcanised styles to date’ within the crew’s skateboarding line. Introduced earlier this year, these low-profile skate shoes are designed with mixed-material brushed suede, fabric and synthetic leather uppers, whilst the reinforced rubber outsole has been constructed utilising vulcanised technology borrowed from the classic OG Nizza. A comfort-minded moulded sockliner complements the interior, whilst the double-track reinforced stitching seen across the edges of the off-grey toe vamp and the precut midfoot are designed to implement a greater sense of structural integrity across the entirety of the shoe. Adidas’ classic triple-stripe side wall decals are replaced with twin-toned red and dark-navy fabric ribbons for added contemporary character, with the recessed 6-eyelet lacing system above nearly concealing and securing the trefoil debossed leather tongue across the arch of the foot. A plain washed-navy ankle collar fuses seamlessly into the padded open-collar structuring, while gold-foil printed ‘adidas’ trefoil branding across the exterior-facing heel panel signs the design off in a regal and refined manner.
